Should what an employer finds on social media be grounds for firing an employee? Why or why not?

Social Media is a big deal these days. If you were to post something on social media that is harmfu to others or bashing people you work with, that is something that you should be fired for. If it were something like bad language, then that is something that you shouldn't be fired for because that's your personal life outside of work. Therefore, I think that if it were something that harmed others and it was bashing people you work with, then you should be fired, otherwise, you shouldn't be fired for your personal life.
